Mentoring or Discipleship is a partnership (defined as an alliance). It is a partnership between the Mentor and the Mentee in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the mentee to maximize their personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional, or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategic plan for achieving those goals. The success of the mentoring engagement depends upon the mentee’s commitment and openness to the process. If the Mentee believes that the mentoring process is not working as desired, the mentee agrees to communicate this to the Mentor. The following represents the Contract between The Mirror LLC and the Mentee.
Users acknowledge that mentoring does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. Users also understand that mentoring is not to be used as a substitute for counseling, psychoanalysis, mental care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical, or other qualified professionals. It is the Mentee’s exclusive responsibility to seek independent professional guidance as needed. If the Mentee is currently under the care of a mental health professional, we recommend that the mentee promptly inform the mental healthcare provider of the nature and extent of the mentoring relationship agreed upon by the Mentee and the Mentor. In no event shall The Mirror or its staff be liable to the Mentee for any special punitive, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages of any kind in connection with this agreement.
The IESSP is an acronym for Identity, Education, Spiritual and Social Plan. It is modeled after the special education IEP (Individualized Educational Plan) and inspired by the poem They Are Singing Your Song. These four components, Identity, Education, Spiritual, and Social, will be covered in the duration of your mentoring and discipleship program. Throughout the curriculum, the user will explore topics surrounding their identity—from before they were born to the present. This curriculum focuses on full disclosure and cultivating healthy relationships with people from conception to old age. The user will examine the relationships they have with their parents, siblings, friends, spouses, coworkers, and children. Emphasis is placed on healing and wholeness through reconciliation.
No one is the same. We have designed an individualized, integrated plan to guide each user toward success, taking into account individual backgrounds and experiences and then laying out concrete goals and benchmarks. Throughout the curriculum, a user will explore topics surrounding their identity—from before they were born to the present. A user will wrestle with questions around stories about their birth. They will face questions like, “What happened before, during, and after you were born?” or, “What prophesy or event took place during your pregnancy?” Connecting yourself back to the place of belonging will bring about healing and reconnect you to the original source of life (God).
No one learns the same way. Our curriculum will help each user to overcome academic and individual learning challenges by building on individual inner knowledge, supporting strengths, and providing tools for triumph. We are advocating that Western education should embrace people’s natural abilities. This curriculum critically examines traditional education and helps users explore how to use it to advance their natural skills (i.e., what can I do beyond the confines of classroom education).
No one is without the spirit. The IESSP curriculum will help each user discover their inner spirituality, moral discipline, and Christian values within a community of caring friends. The curriculum helps learners to understand the many aspects of spirituality. Users will explore spirituality as the measure of how willing they are to allow God to enter their lives and guide them along the way. Spirituality involves understanding the spiritual power of evil and good, and the power of God entering the world through us. Spirituality is not about rules, rituals, and man-made religions; rather, it is about having a relationship with God. Spirituality can be found in the ordinary things of life and unusual places. The primary question to be answered throughout the duration of this lesson is this: How do I connect to God?
Mentoring fees must be paid in advance of sessions. Payment for the Mentoring Sessions is to be made online through PayPal or credit card. If the mentee fails to pay any amount due within 24 hours before the scheduled session, the session may be canceled at the Mentor’s discretion. Users are allowed to make payments in installments or in a lump sum.
The mentee is required to give 24 hours’ notice if there’s a need to cancel or change the time of their appointment. Your mentor will make every effort as well to reschedule sessions that are canceled promptly. If the mentee does not cancel promptly on a regular basis, we will need to end the Mentoring relationship. The mentee agrees to call the Mentor at an agreed-upon number, social media, or at the agreed physical location. The Mentor and mentee commit to start and finish each session on time. If the mentee is more than 10 minutes late for a coaching session, the Mentor will assume the session is canceled, and the client will forfeit the session fee.
Either Party may terminate this Agreement immediately upon notice. Notwithstanding, the Client shall not be relieved of any obligations to pay fees due to The Mirror LLC. because of the termination of this Agreement.
The services provided by the Mentor to the mentee are in-person Mentoring and Discipleship or tele-coaching, as jointly agreed with the mentee. Mentoring and Discipleship, which is not advice, therapy, or counseling, may address specific personal projects, business successes, academic goals, or general conditions in the mentee’s life or profession.
All sessions of the mentoring shall be held on Zoom. The mentee must have stable internet, keep videos on, and be in a non-distracting, private, and appropriate environment. No third party should be listening to the sessions, except when mutually agreed to do so.
The Mentor promises the mentee that all Information provided by the mentee will be kept strictly confidential. Throughout the working relationship, the Mentor will engage in direct and personal conversations. The mentee can count on the Mentor to be honest and straightforward in asking questions and making requests. The mentee understands that the power of the Mentoring and Discipleship relationship can be granted only by the mentee, and the mentee agrees to do just that: have the Mentoring and Discipleship relationship be powerful, life-giving, and result-oriented.
I will respect and appreciate my Mentor.
I will honor the time that we are together by being on time.
I will do my homework and be accountable by making a daily or weekly commitment to my life.
I will take full responsibility and accountability for all of my actions.
I will trust the process and be willing to step out of my comfort zone.
I will present an open heart by sharing a full disclosure of the subject matter without any reservations.
The program will run through a period of 12 weeks during the Spring: January to March, Summer: May to July, Fall: September to November. This Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the Client and The Mirror LLC. The mentor shall not be held responsible and shall remain blameless for any adverse or other consequences, including but not limited to financial, personal, employment, or other losses, arising out of decisions or actions the Client may make as a result of the Services provided by the Mentor. Client consent on this agreement indicates a full understanding of the agreement with the information outlined above.
